Dalton Ernest is a 2016 OF/2B with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Pittsburg, TX who attends Pittsburg HS. Slender young build, minimal present strength. Runs well, 7.06 runner in the sixty, moves very well to ball in the outfield, sound footwork with an aggressive charge, big crow hop maximizes his arm strength, has sound outfield fundamentals. Right handed hitter, spread no stride approach at the plate, upper half rotational swing, stays short to the ball with a controlled contact swing, middle to opposite field contact, handles the barrel well, should continue to improve with additional strength. Good student.
