Ethan Samangy is a 2019 RHP/C with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Hudson, OH who attends Hudson HS. Medium frame with slender, projectable build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.57 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, leg lift delivery with forward drift over rubber, arm tends to be late catching up into release, fastball worked 75-78 mph with flashes of life to arm side. Showed sharp slider with good bite down in the zone, also flashed changeup. Did a good job throwing strikes and challenging with fastball. Hits from open start, doesn't quite close off front side through stride, some looseness to hands on line drive plane with whole-field approach, handles barrel well. Worked out behind the plate, sits deep into crouch, turns body well when gaining ground, longer arm stroke through the back, loose projectable arm, clocked up to 71 mph on throws. Very good student.
