Jerry Almaraz is a 2015 OF/LHP with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Uvalde, TX who attends Uvalde HS. Very nice athletic build, broad shouldered and strong with room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, straight stance with limited stride or shift, upper half rotational swing, has strength at contact and could have more with a better shift towards contact, stays balanced and flashed the ability to drive the ball to right centerfield. 6.90 runner, arm works loose and smooth from the outfield, moves easily and athletically to the ball. Also pitched, standard leg raise delivery, weak front side, pulls head down hard and early and head comes off the plate. Upper 70's fastball with occasional cutting action glove side, soft curveball at 64 mph. Good student.
