Joakim Svedhem is a 2016 RHP with a 6-1 173 lb. frame from Waterloo, Belgium, AL who attends St Johns International School. Long and lean pitcher's build, plenty of room to get stronger. Smooth delivery with good pace and balance, stays compact well, swings his front leg around creating occasional front side earliness, high 3/4's arm slot gives him good downhill angle to the plate. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, gets good arm side running action down in the zone. Soft sweeping curveball, tends to get on the side of the pitch, has depth at times. Throws strikes and competes well. Improving his breaking ball will be key to his development. Good student.
