Jose Santiago is a 2018 OF/RHP with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Greenacres, FL who attends Trinity Christian Academy. Medium build, lean and skinny frame with square shoulders and lots of room to fill in frame. Ran a 7.17 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, should keep glove down until time to field ball, clean arm action into throws with average arm strength topping out at 78 mph from the outfield. Also pitched, short side step to a leg lift above belt, long and tight arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, short stride downhill, could utilize lower half more from drive leg, throws with little effort, mixed in a 12-to-6 curveball. Lefthanded hitter, narrow base with a slightly open stance, high hand set with a high back elbow, small toe tap trigger, shorter hand path to baseball, barrel stayed on plane occasionally, could work on keeping level barrel plane more, consistent contact to the opposite field, needs to get stronger for increased pop off of the barrel and added bat speed.
