Matthew Cassandra is a 2020 OF/RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends Denmark. Large frame with an athletic build and beginnings of strength. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary outfielder with fluid, athletic footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Clean glove actions at pick up and worked through exchange efficiently. Throws produced solid carry to the bag with occasional tailing action to arm side, topped at 82 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and simple front side trigger. Shifts into contact well with lower half. Clean hand path to baseball with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Repeats well and flashed some fluidity through the zone. Consistently looked to work to the middle of the field showing good strength to the gaps when on time and squared. Very good student as well.
