Ethan Hochhauser is a 2018 SS/ with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Coral Springs, FL who attends Calvary Christian Academy. Compact frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Ran a 7.40 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with smooth, fluid footwork while surrounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling with fluid exchanges while working through transfer. Flashed solid range to each side with the ability to throw with accuracy while on the run. Primarily released from a three-quarters arm slot generating on line carry to the bag, topped at 72 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and toe tap trigger. Slight hand coil at load and works to contact on a loose, extended path. Flashed some barrel control on a slightly lifted plane through extension. Showed the ability to turn barrel to contact at times and generated hard contact to the pull side gap. Excellent student.
