2017 Sunshine East Showcase
Cameron Norgren is a 2017 3B/SS with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Cary, NC who attends Panther Creek HS. Large frame with athletic, well-proportioned present build; both highly athletic and highly projectable physicality. Ran 60 yard dash in 6.71 seconds. Switch-hitter with feel from both sides; shows legitimate bat speed from the left side with simple, loose stroke. Drove the ball into the air consistently and repeated swing easily and efficiently. Showed pop from the right side as well though swing a bit stiffer than lefthanded stroke. Worked out in two spots. Showed good range in the infield with easy actions and athleticism, showed good footwork and projects as a very good defensive third baseman, showed big time arm strength clocked up to 91 mph across the diamond. Big arm in the outfield as well, loose easy arm stroke produced 93 mph velocity, moves in on ball well and does a good job of maintaining momentum. Excellent student, named to 2017 Sunshine East Top Prospect List. Signed with North Greenville University.
