Dyllan Van Erden is a 2016 OF/ with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Grayslake, IL who attends Carmel. Good frame with solid build. Starts open and front side gets back on ball at stride. Balanced approach with a downward swing plane. Primarly looks to hit the baseball on a line or hard on the ground. Hits behind the baseball and flashes quiality contact. Shows good extenstion that creates some backspin and carry off bat. Good rhythm and feel at the plate. Throws hands to the ball well on pitches middle out. Has a solid arm with a high energy release from the outfield, topped at 82 mph. Solid fundamentals closing on ball and playing through the baseball on transitions into throw. Consistent and repeatable actions in the outfield. Projects. Very good student as well.
