Ismael Astacio is a 2019 RHP/SS with a 5-11 125 lb. frame from North Miami, FL who attends Alonzo Tracy Mourning HS. Long lean frame with room to fill and athletic potential. Has a fast paced delivery; high leg lift, long and loose arm action with speed, 3/4 slot, creates downhill plane. Shows good command of fastball at 73 to 76 miles per hour working both sides of the plate and filling up the strike zone. Curveball at 66mph has 12/5 arc and early break and depth. Straight changeup at 70 to keep hitters off balance. Fields his position well, looked like he pitched to contact and trusted his defense. Solid outing.
