Trent Fowler is a 2017 C/MIF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Duluth, GA who attends Greater Atlanta Christian School. Compact build with solid athleticism. Primary catcher that shows good receiving skills. Stays low in crouch with solid footwork, longer transfer and release that can be tightened up. Developing arm strength, accurate throws. Also plays infield, moves well laterally but can get a bit out of control at times, uses compact arm-action , solid footwork and follows through on throws. Switch hitter, has busy, tighter hands but shows feel for barrel from left side. Also has tight hand set and busy load from right side, shows some more pullside pop. Good swing plane with line drive contact from both sides, could use more aggressive finish. Tremendous student.
