Clay Ellis is a 2022 OF/RHP, MIF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Roswell, GA who attends Blessed Trinity Catholic. Large and lean frame with room to fill. Ran a 7.10 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, drives through the baseball into his release, hands and feet are in sync well, quick arm and release, accurate throws up to 83 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, compact arm action delivery with an open front side as he releases, 3/4 arm slot release, fastball topped out at 80 mph with occasional cutting action, similar life on his changeup as on his fastball, 10-4 curveball mixed in as well with plenty of sweeping action, pitches run away from right-handed hitters. Also worked out in the infield, charges in well in the dirt, upright gather and release, best reps to glove side. Left-handed hitter, toe tap trigger, showed a feel for the barrel especially to the middle of the field, downhill swing and gets some lift when on time, could get the lower half more involved for improved pop. Outstanding student.
