Andrew Williams is a 2021 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Brookhaven, GA who attends Marist. He showed good speed with a 6.84 second sixty. A primary left-handed pitcher with a long lean build that project well with more room to fill on the frame. On the mound he showed a medium arm action working to a three-quarters arm slot, he creates some good extension down the mound with his fastball sitting 81-83 mph and topping out at 84 mph with control around the plate, he repeats his delivery well attacking hitters early in counts with the fastball and using his secondaries later in counts, his curveball showed short 1/7 shape and developing feel for the spin, and a straight changeup in the mid 70's with good arm speed. Left-handed hitter, coils into his load with rhythm in the hands, he showed some strength in the hands working gap to gap with some jump and good feel for the timing of the swing. Excellent student. Named to the 2020 Fall Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.
