Thomas Buckman is a 2016 OF/LHP with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from McLean, VA who attends Mclean HS. Medium frame, slender build, room to fill out physically as he continues to put on additional muscle. Posted a 7.35 60-yard dash. From the outfield, fields the ball out front, crow hop into throws, short arm action, developing arm strength and carry. From the plate, left-handed hitter that starts with a slightly open stance. Swings on a line drive swing plane, hands extend back on load, short to the baseball, gets extension through the baseball, middle of the field approach. On the mound, throws from a 3/4 arm slot, long arm action, developing arm speed and strength, generates downhill plane on fastball, gets lower half leg drive. 1/7 shape on curveball, big break. Excellent student.
