Tyler Ryan is a 2015 RHP/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Canyon Country, CA who attends Golden Valley HS. Large, athletic build with long limbs and a lean, projectable build and broad shoulders. Ran a 7.55 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a short and compact arm action with extension out front. Simple, repeatable mechanics with a high leg raise and a shoulder tilt to generate downhill plane. Hides the ball well creating deception and topped at 80 mph with his fastball, spotting to both sides with slight run to arm side, comes out easy. Curveball shows 12-6 shape with depth when on top of pitch with a nice feel at 65 mph. Changeup comes out like fastball with some fade at 72 mph. Carry on throws from the outfield, gets behind the ball well, full arm action on very accurate throws. Right-handed batter, starts with a low hand set and stays compact through swing. Shows life coming off the barrel, shows a middle of the field approach with a nice feel for the barrel. Quick hands with a short path to the ball. Good student.
