Hayden Patrick is a 2018 C/ with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Mobile, AL who attends Mcgill-Toolen Catholic HS. Good size and strength on the frame with an athletic overall build. Ran the 60-yard dash in 6.93 seconds; good agility and run time especially for a backstop. Primary catcher who popped a 2.00 second time. Solid arm strength behind the plate and gains ground well toward second base. Stays low throughout and has smoothness to his actions with good overall feel for the position. Righthanded hitter with a slightly open batting stance. Balanced throughout with a short path to contact. Medium hand set and showed the ability to get the ball to all fields. Wide base with a large leg lift trigger and stride through his weight shift and through the point of contact. Showed the ability to turn the barrel over and extend toward the pull side. Good student.
