Charlie Bourbon is a 2017 3B/RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Riverwoods, IL who attends Adlai E Stevenson HS. Angular athletic build with some present strength, good physical projection. Right handed hitter, knee turn trigger, rotational upper half swing, will get long at times but is aggressive and creates some bat speed, will hit to all fields and show some developing gap power. Showed quick and active feet on defense, moves well laterally and has projectable footwork, glove tends to get down late to the ball at times, some developing arm strength. Also pitched, side step/leg raise delivery, high 3/4's arm slot with a compact arm action. Fastball topped out at 79 mph, mostly straight with some downhill angle. Curveball has good spin and depth on it, promising pitch. Good student.
