Collin Lindsey is a 2023 C/3B/RHP with a 5-10 173 lb. frame from Westfield, IN who attends Westfield. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill. Ran a 7.86 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set behind the plate, aggressive coming out of crouch and gains some ground with lower half, repeats actions and looks to be quick, shows athleticism, gets inconsistent with release point. Also pitched and shows potential on the mound, steady tempo to delivery with clean mechanics, filled the zone with fastball and topped out at 76 mph. Ball comes out well, curveball shows nice spin with bite down in the zone up to 64 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and bent knee stance; upper body dominant swing and can continue to incorporate additional lower half into contact. Stays short through the zone, occasionally gets downward with swing path but shows a handle for the barrel. Full finish through the point of contact and worked the middle of the field. Very good student.
