Jesus Maldonado is a 2017 C with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Baldwin Park, CA who attends Bishop Amat HS. Maldonado has a strong athletic build with present strength in frame. Hits from a square stance. Has a short stride getting foot down early. Shows strength in swing and shows solid bat speed with a good hand path and line drive swing. Gets extended through ball well. Repeats swing well. Has strength in swing and shows good power with a solid approach. Defensviely, sets up low and stays low through out throws, has good footwork with a quick release and accurate throws. Outstanding Student.
