Connor Richardson is a 2016 C/SS with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Reynoldsburg, OH who attends Reynoldsburg HS. Large frame, solid physical build with present strength, still has some room to fill out. Right handed hitter, open stance, gets to even with stride. Hand drop trigger, has solid rhythm, shows solid feel for barrel, developing bat speed. Flashes strength off of the barrel, could tap into strength, generate more raw power with more consistent extension, aggressive approach. Primary catcher, nice setup and crouch, gains some ground with feet, has some quickness to movements and a nice, compact arm-action, best pop time of 2.07 seconds. Also pitches, fastball up to 78 mph, gets on hitters quickly and shows armside run. Will occasionally drop arm slot to low 3/4's, shows some feel for it and will mix in rare curveball in mid-60s. Good student.
