Logan Whitaker is a 2018 RHP/1B with a 6-4 160 lb. frame from Winston Salem, NC who attends Ledford. XL frame with long, lean build and high-end physical projection on body. Primary pitcher, ball is easy out of hand, slight hook in back of arm circle but only minor overall effort in arm action, generates plus extension at release. FB worked 80-81 and touched 82, highly projectable velocity potential, worked downhill to bottom of the zone, both sides of the plate, worked quickly and attacked hitters. CB showed 12/6 shape with projectable spin, quality depth on pitch. CH flashed with excellent velocity differential from FB, solid fading action and deception. Hits with longer stride into contact, static hands, line drive swing plane with some line drive contact ability. Good actions defensively at 1B, fields cleanly with soft and sure hands, solid arm strength with good athleticism as well, accurate to 2B and 3B. Highest upside as a prospect is on the mound. Named to 2015 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
