Michael Ferguson is a 2018 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-2 167 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Walton HS. Large frame with athletic, slender, highly projectable frame. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.19 seconds. Sets up to hit with open stance and high hand set, lots of moving parts into load, dips back shoulder into swing and creates slightly uphill swing plane. Shows quality bat speed with highly projectable strength off the barrel, shows good ability to hit the ball to all fields with developing jump. Moves well to the ball in the infield with range to both sides, has some flair in actions, glides well on his feet. Fields cleanly to backhand and forehand and shows quick release, throws across up to 77 MPH. Pitched as well, very short arm action with excellent deception, hides the ball very well until release. FB worked 75-78 with heavy sinking action, did a good job throwing strikes with it. Flashed CB with deep 12/6 shape, more effective at lower velocity. Good student.
