Jason Langevin is a 2018 OF/LHP, 1B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Little Falls, NJ who attends Passaic Valley. Large frame with strong, athletic build; body still projects as well. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.19 seconds. Sets up to hit with upright, slightly open stance; high back elbow with hands set tight to body. Rotational swing, good contact skills overall, showed ability to use the entire field on a line with developing strength off the barrel. Fields out front at 1st base, pivots well to make throws, clean across the diamond up to 74 MPH. Pitched as well, long and full through the back of arm circle up to high 3/4 slot, FB worked 74-77 MPH with solid arm side life, some sink at bottom of zone as well. Showed good feel for turning over changeup out front, replicates arm speed well, pounded the zone with both pitches and had two quick innings. Good student.
