Sets up to hit from slightly open stance with leg lift trigger, strides online with hips, shows good bat speed on lofted plane, does a good job getting the barrel turned out front and driving the ball on a firm line. Worked to all fields with some authority; good raw hitting tools to profile with middle-field approach. Worked out defensively behind the plate; even set with good flex, receives well out front, stands up to throw down to 2nd base, gains well with extra steps out, showed solid accuracy around the bag, popped as low as 2.25 seconds. Named to 2017 Great Lakes Showcase Top Prospect List, very good student.
