Jared Cushing is a 2019 SS/IF with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Naperville, IL who attends Joliet Catholic Academy. Tall and lean frame with lots of room to get stronger. 6.95 runner, sound fundamental actions and footwork on defense, hands play well out front, has a quick release from a compact arm action. Right handed hitter, has a short line drive swing with an inside hand path, middle of the field approach, projects as a hitter with additional strength and better extension through contact. Good student, verbal commitment to Texas Tech.
