Jeffrey Gerlica is a 2016 RHP/1B with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Port St. Lucie, FL who attends Lincoln Park Academy. Long, lean build with projection remaining. Smooth delivery with hip coil leg lift, solid burst and rotation through to release. Long, whippy arm action with slight wrap that works well through the path, very good armspeed. Worked his fastball up to 89 mph, sitting comfortably in the 84-87 mph range, pitch has good life, downhill plane and is tough for hitters to barrel. Mixed in quality slider with sharp two plane break, tight spin that shows very good potential. Also has developing feel for rare changeup, replicates armspeed on pitch well. Very intriguing arm, named to Top Prospect List. Very good student.
