William Finch is a 2017 LHP/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Lees Summit, MO who attends Summit Christian Academy. Athletic build with room to fill out. High 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. Balanced and repeatable delivery, overall smooth delivery to the plate. Stays tall on backside, ball comes out clean. Aggressive approach to pitching and works in zone well with all three pitches. Fastball showed good arm side run down in zone. Velocity projects with a added strength. Change up had good tumbling action at plate with good arm speed, while curveball had 2/8 shape and showed good depth. Started to get a little crossfire in delivery later in outing. Hit from a square stance, simple repeatable swing, showed good pull pop, hands work well and were quiet in the load. Defensively, good arm with a long loose arm action, does good job fielding ball front, and ball had carry. Good Student.
