Davin Burroughs is a 2021 SS/MIF/OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Lakeside, CA who attends Santana. Medium athletic build with room to fill out as he progresses. Posted a 7.19 second sixty yard dash time. Primary shortstop, is aggressive to the baseball at times, will second guess his initial reads. Glove work is good with softness to either side. Footwork is solid into either hole as well. Works through the ball with some fluidity. Finds some carry across the diamond. At the plate, uses a wider stance with virtually no front foot trigger mechanism, just a linear weight shift in the box. Has a feel for the barrel, size generates decent pop to all fields. Backside collapses generating a slightly elevated barrel plane through the zone. Middle of the field approach. Excellent student with a 4.0 GPA.
