Gabriel Shubert is a 2016 LHP with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from La Mesa, CA who attends West Hills. Small frame, young physically immature body with significant remaining physical development. Pitches from a three quarters arm slot with a slow deliberate delivery. Hides the ball well and that combined with the slow pace to delivery lulls some hitters to sleep at this level and allows fastball velocity to play up. Maintains arm speed on changeup well and uses it aggressively, good depth on 1-7 curveball. Threw strikes to both sides of the plate. Good student.
