Robbie Shields is a 6'1" 180 pound 2006 middle infielder from Dade City, Florida who attends Pasco High School. He has a strong athletic build with plenty of room to fill out. Robbie has quick hands at the plate which generates good bat speed. He has a lofted swing plane and shows good power to all fields. In the field, Shields has good hands and feet. He has smooth easy actions with soft hands and good flexion in his body. He has a strong arm as well which he showed by throwing 82 mph across the infield during the workout. He also has a very quick release on his throws. Robbie has solid tools and has good potential at the next level. He is also a good student.
