Austin Galindo is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 6-6 250 lb. frame from Bloomington, IL who attends University HS. Has an extra large frame, extra large build, and has clear signs of some serious strength. Posted a 7.38 second sixty yard dash. On the mound, shows a leg raise, clean to balance point, and gets downhill well with good plane. Has an arm circle easy into his three-quarter arm slot through release. Lands online with great command of both sides of the plate. Very repeatable delivery. Slider has sharp, downward plate. From the outfield, showed actions and good arm strength with throws up to as high as 91 MPH. From first base, displayed quick feet and good range and athleticism. At the plate, right-handed hitter with big strength off the barrel, shorter swing overall. Currently committed to Illinois State for football. Named to 2016 National Indoor Top Prospect List.
