Raul Yoquiqua is a 2006 right handed pitcher from Chula Vista High School in California with a 5'11", 153 lb. frame. He is a good looking athlete with a chance to get stronger. Yoquiqua showed one of the better deliveries out of the bull pen today, but when the game started he changed a little. He has good promise with pure arm strength and good arm speed. The ball comes out of his hand cleanly, and he has the ability to throw strikes. Yoquiqua tends to slow down his motion on his off-speed pitches, but with the proper correctable mechanics he should be able to have an impact year, and get some solid interest to pitch at the next level. He has a balanced delivery with good tempo, and finishes his pitches well out front with no effort. During the game he started to throw across his body and rushed through his delivery, but he showed he has the ability. We are sure he got a little excited. He is a must follow with very good upside.
