2015 West Coast Underclass Showcase
Nico Mannucci is a 2017 OF/RHP with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Pasadena, CA who attends Harvard-Westlake HS. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a projectable build with room to fill out. Ran a 6.91 60-yard dash, has knowledge and speed plays well on bases. Primary outfielder, fields the ball out front and does a nice job of working over the front side, quick and easy arm action, comes out of hand cleanly with present strength and carry, gets on top and shows accuracy to the intended base. Right-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance and slightly open stance with a medium hand set. Gets closed at contact with a small glide step in lower half, remains short to the ball with a line drive swing plane. Shows balance to swing and a feel for the barrel, stays on breaking ball well, creates contact to all fields and has feel to go opposite way. Named to West Coast Underclass Top Prospect List. Very good student.
