Brett Beyer is a 2016 SS/2B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Hermosa, SD who attends Stevens HS. Shorter compact middle infielder's build, has some present strength. 7.04 runner, has good actions in the middle infield with soft hands at the ball, handles the back hand particularly well and can throw on the run, moves through the ball with fluid athleticism, will occasionally drop his elbow throwing from a compact arm action and have the ball sail. Right handed hitter, short direct swing path, gets from his front side to his back side well, line drive swing plane with a high finish, swings hard and has some bat speed, will hit to all fields but tends to roll over the ball when pulling. Nice well rounded prospect with actions and some athleticism. Good student.
