Frias projects out of sight. He's going to be a special talent after he grows into his thin body. Unlike most Dominican players, Vladimir told us his dream is to attend an American college. He speaks very good English. Back to baseball… The only thing missing is strength. Frias' actions, arm strenmgth, hitting ability and instincts are all MLB potential. With the added strength, we feel he could become at least an average runner as well. He really looked good at the plate against some very good pitching. Remember, Sammy Sosa was a feail young Dominican at one time. This kid needs to get a chance, he could be a giant sleeper. He's a very good student.
