PG Grade: 6.5
Tyler Rubio is a hustling 5'8" senior outfielder from Illinois. He has good, athletic body life and especially good first step quickness. Although he listed himself as a primary outfielder, Rubio worked out in the infield and showed good actions and nice arm strength, along with very good accuracy on his throws. He has the tools to be a good centerfielder, but Rubio looks like he could be every bit as good at second base, which would increase his overall value. At the plate, Rubio showed a quick, aggressive swing with the wood bat and made solid hard contact. He hits out of an open, spread stance and does a good job of getting his quick hands through the zone. Rubio is a good all around player who definitely looks like he has a spot at the next level.
