Mueller is fun to watch. At 6'3/170 he projects very well and he throws real good right now. His arm works nice and his fastball was up to 88 in Lincoln. We suspect he has thrown even better. He showed what looked like a slider/slurve and a true curveball. Possibly they were the same pitch because the velocity was between 71-75 on all of them. It's a good pitch for him and could develop into a plus MLB pitch down the road. We did notice Mueller lost some velocity out of the stretch. This is fairly common, but needs to be addressed at some point. Bottom line is that Mueller is a top pitching prospect with a live body that will get much stronger in time. He knows how to pitch and he's close to ave. MLB velo already. MLB scouts will follow his progress and there's no question he can pitch at the highest levels of college baseball. Scott is a good student.
