PG Grade: 10
Ryan Flaherty is a MLB bodied athletic 6'3/185 SS from Portland, ME. Flaherty is a left handed hitter with a sweet swing, very good arm strength and a future at shortstop or possibly third base if he adds more weight and strength. He played very well in games, especially defensively at SS, but he probably profiles best at 3B. He has soft hands, nice actions, and a strong MLB caliber 3B arm. He doesn't run great, but he moves very smoothly with quick instincts. He showed a good smooth stroke that made consistent contact against highest level pitching. He can hit and did hit very well in Tropicana Field. He is a highest level college prospect with pro potential. Ryan is a very good student. He was invited to the PG AFLAC Showcase in Baltimore, but could not attend.
