Robert Warne -- Warne is a junior catcher from New York with a well proportioned body that’s going to add even more strength the next couple of years. Warne’s a good overall athlete with lively actions and a good running gait who could undoubtedly play other positions as well. He showed solid arm strength behind the plate and was able to register consistent sub 2.00 pop times with good quick feet and a short release. Warne hits from a wide stance with a little more stride than you’ll usually see with that type of approach. Warne generates excellent bat speed. He hit some balls solidly in games but all six of his at bats resulted in ground balls instead of line drives. Warne is a strong student as well.
