Jake Cosart is a 2012 OF/RHP with a 6-1 145 lb. frame from League City, TX who attends Clear Creek HS. Slender build, minimal present strength. Right handed hitter, still start, open stance, looks to pull, short compact swing, squares up pitchesl. 7.11 runner, loose strong arm, plus carry, accurate throws. Also pitches, different arm action on the mound than from the outfield, much more compact, fastball tops at 87 mph. Brother a top minor league pitching prospect with the Astros, arm strength runs in the family. Will have to make adjustments to translate natural arm strength to the mound. Good student.
