PG Grade: 7.5
Brechbill is a very interesting and big "04" catcher. He is a well proportioned 6'5/220 with a Big League body. His arm strength is close to MLB average and he popped below 2.00 in Wareham. He can receive and does a nice job for such a big man behind the plate. He's very strong, but seems to open up a bit early at the plate. This creates somewhat of a slow trigger and robs him of bat speed. When everything works together or the pitch is in the right spot, Nick punishes the ball. He smoked a long double into the gap on such a pitch. His best days are still ahead of him and he could develop into a big time draft pick out of college. Nick is an outstanding student with a 4.16 GPA and a 1390 SAT.
