Nicholas Chesterton is a 2007 MIF/3B with a 5'10'', 175 lb. frame from Vista, CA, who attends Rancho Buena Vista HS. Chesterton has a medium frame with athleticism. Defensively he has nice footwork with good actions. Chesterton has soft hands and receives the ball well, and has solid arm strength with good accuracy. Not flashy defensively, but he makes all of the plays. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a straight away stance and a crouch. Chesterton has bat speed through the zone with a line drive swing plane. He is a patient hitter with strike zone awareness, and keeps his hands inside the ball. Chesterton sprays balls to all fields with his short and compact swing. He also shows instincts and skills on the bases. He hustles and is always in the game. He even went out to warm up the pitcher in between innings. He is also a good student.
