Michael is a 2005 grad from Marina High School in Huntington Beach California. He has a tall athletic body at 6'5" / 230 pounds. He holds his weight well now and could get even stronger. Michael is a very aggressive pitcher who goes after hitters early in the count and can be intimidating on the mound with his size and arm strength. He has a balanced and repeatable delivery, especially for a big guy and gets good late action on a 87-88 mph fastball. He gets a big, wide break on a 68 mph curveball. He can probably tighten up this pitch in the future, although he does do a good job of commanding it. Overall, Michael is a big and intimating right handed pitcher with talent and skills. He should be a solid DI pitcher and potentially a good draft when his turn comes. Michael is a good student.
