Lukas Thomason is a 2005 RHP/1B from Jacksonville, Texas, with a MLB 6'5", 215 lb. frame. He has a very good body with a strong lower half. Thomason has a fastball with great late life that topped out at 90 mph. He gets a great deal of run on his fastball that makes life hard on right handed hitters. He also has a curveball with good bite, but has an inconsistent release point on the pitch that affects its production. Thomason also throws a harder slider as well as a change up at 79 mph. He gets good use of his strong lower half, and showed his athleticism by running a 7.03 sixty which is very impressive for his size. Thomason was one of the best pitchers at the event and his lively fastball stands out. He should create a lot of draft interest and he has signed with Texas Tech.
