2025 PG Fall Northern California Showcase
Dylan Wherry is a 2026 RHP/1B with a 6-6 205 lb. frame from Livermore, CA who attends Livermore. Tall and strong build with long legs and arms and lots of room to get stronger. Throws from a simple side step delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot, easy low effort and repeatable mechanics, tends to land open and fall off to the first base side out front and would benefit from better direction to release to maximize his already very good extension out front. Fastball was in the upper 70's and topped out at 80 mph with glove side cutting action due to his direction at release. Curveball had some sharpness at 70 mph and was an effective pitch for him. Killed the spin on a change up well. Has been up to 84 mph in the past and it's easy to see him there regularly in the future. 7.33 runner who showed good athleticism and clean actions around the first base bag on defense. Right handed hitter, sets up in a wide base with a big leg raise and kick timer, swings hard with a line drive swing path and has some bat speed, flashed some pop when he was timed up. Good student. Named to the Perfect Game Fall Northern California Showcase Top Prospect List.
