Aidan Heckelsmiller is a 2028 RHP/1B/3B/OF with a 5-11 206 lb. frame from Winnebago, IL who attends Rockford Lutheran School. Larger young build with good strength potential. Gets coiled well over the rubber with a tall and fall move to the plate, high 3/4's arm slot, arm is loose and works well out front, slow paced overall mechanics. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, mostly straight with occasional running life. Curveball was a good pitch with some spin and 11/5 depth, landed the curveball for strikes. Killed the spin on his change up well. 8.57 runner in the sixty. Worked out at all positions defensively except at catcher, has some young arm strength but developing actions and athleticism, profiles best at first base in the future. Right handed hitter, sets up in a closed stance with a high and deep hand load, aggressive shift into contact, tends to stride open, swings hard with a pull side approach and can get some jump on his pitch, singular approach is aggressive with it. Very good student.
