Jayden Kim is a 2027 C/OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Oradell, NJ who attends River Dell Regional. Medium frame with well-proportioned strength present and some projection remaining. Primary catcher, sets up in a squared stance and gets out of the set with a bit of urgency. Stays low as he works through the baseball, separating into a very short arm path before releasing it from a lower slot. Has some developing quickness in the feet and arm with minor accuracy issues. Recorded arm strength up to 66 mph with a pop time of 2.19 sec. Right-handed hitter, starts in a slightly open base with a high back elbow and high hand set-up. Utilizes an inward toe-tap trigger for timing before working into a flatter bat path. Produced line drive impact to the opposite field. Hands get pushy through the zone at times. Displayed minor timing issues with a developing feel for the barrel and some strength in the hands. Posted an exit velocity of 78 mph. Ran a 3.96 thirty-yard dash. Great student.
