Donnie Frank is a 2008 3B C/IF with a 5'10'', 160 lb. frame from Alpine, CA who attends Steele Canyon HS. He has an average frame and a lean, wiry body type that still has a lot of strength to gain. Frank is going to be a solid college player someday. He might benefit from a couple years at a JC getting stronger. He plays the game with an aggressive style that is suited to college ball. Frank is an aggressive hitter and an aggressive defensive player. He has a contact hitting approach and quick hands. He keeps his hands ahead of the barrel and in time he will add some gap power when he gets stronger. He attacks pitches. defensively Frank is playmaking 'gamer' type of player. He is ready to go every play and is more concerned with making the play than style points. That approach occasionally results in a standout defensive player. He moves really well to his left and has a quick release, with a good arm. It was fun watching Frank compete.
