Taryn Torres is a 2025 C/3B from Evadale, TX who attends Evadale. Taryn is a natural leader behind the plate, she is a strong athlete who has the ability to be a game changer for her team. Defensively, she has good footwork behind the plate, and does a great job getting her feet around the ball on bunts in front of the plate. Best pop time of the day was a 2.99 from her knees. She does a great job driving out with her lower half and keeping her throw on a line. As she continues to work behind the plate she needs to continue to work on speeding up her transfer to continue to speed up her pop time. Offensively, she is a powerful right handed hitter who has exceptional barrel whip and does a great job getting her barrel head through extension. has a very balanced swing and maintains good body posture through out. As she continues to progress needs to constantly utilize her lower half and she will continue to see her power numbers increase. Has great gap to gap power. Overall Taryn is a strong athlete that has huge upside if she continues to progress on the track she is. I cannot wait to continue to watch this athlete develop.
