Burns is a speedster, one of the fastest players in high school baseball. He takes long flowing strides and he's fun to watch round the bases. He ran a 6.44 in Lincoln and showed plus times home to first. He showed excellent hitting ability and some power potential. He has a long lean, athletic frame that will surely get stronger. He throws and hits left handed making his speed even more important. Perhaps the only kink in Burns' armor is a below average arm. He should work hard to improve in this area because he has most everything else to work with. He's a very interesting player with big time makeup. Definitely a DI impact type player and possible good draft pick. Greg is a good student.
